We believe in making communities better! We are recruiting an experienced Assistant**HUD Property Manager with knowledge of the HOME program for IMMEDIATE hire. Candidate must possess previous property management and leasing experience to include Project Based Section 8. Familiarity with YARDI property management software. Certifications in COS and/or CPM a plus. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, MAC and PC skills required.

Responsibilities included but are not limited to:

  • Review and Submit HAP Vouchers
  • Review MAT & TRACS errors from prior month
  • Run EIV Reports
  • Print/Post/Distribute Recertification notices
  • HUD Recertifications: Interims and Annuals
  • Maintain detailed and accurate confidential files and records
  • Develop and execute marketing plan
  • Ensure compliance with the requirements of and the preparation of reports to LIHTC investor(s).
  • Leasing
  • Tenant screening and eligibility per TSP
  • Lease preparation and execution
  • Maintain occupancy standards (Leasing, Move-ins, Move-outs, Wait-list, Evictions)
  • Maintain collection standards
  • Resident relations
  • Provide respectful and timely customer service to residents and family members.
  • Monitor and enforce resident lease obligations.
  • Oversee the management of the property including janitorial and maintenance service
  • Inspections (property and units)
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget
  • Oversee maintenance of budget with assistance of management team
  • Interact with owners and community partners
  • Compliance
  • Keep current and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations as outlined in the HUD handbook and LIHTC
  • Monitor and enforce compliance of Fair Housing and other federal, state, and local regulations that apply to the community.
  • Work with management team to review current guidelines and prepare for REAC and MOR inspections with expectations of achieving maximum scores/ratings.
  • Attend educational seminars and trainings as needed.
  • Perform various special projects as required by Supervisor.

Requirements included but are not limited to:

  • Site Based Section 8 experience is required
  • 5 years of experience in Residential Property Management
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS)
  • Tax Credit Specialist certification
  • Experience with Yardi is helpful
  • Ability to read and understand federal and state regulations
  • Knowledge of tenant-landlord law, Fair Housing regulation/program requirements is desired.
  • Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Outlook.
