Under direct supervision of the Human Resources Specialist, performs specialized clerical duties associated with human resources administration activities. Organizes and maintains confidential filing within the department to include employee personnel files, insurance and medical documentation files. Provides clerical support to the Human Resources Specialist by typing a variety of correspondence, reports and other information using a variety of office equipment. Reviews employment applications, prepares, reviews and verified various personnel transactions to ensure correctness and completion. Following established guidelines, provides information regarding employee's status to employees, supervisors and administrators. Responsible for data entry into automated timekeeping system. Organizes and checks for accuracy designated timesheets; prepares various reports using this data.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two years of related clerical experience. Requires extensive knowledge of office practices, procedures and programs. Requires extensive knowledge of composition, grammar and punctuation. Requires ability to follow oral and written instructions. Requires ability to operate commonly used manual and automated office equipment. Requires skill in typing accurately at 30 words per minute.
