Description
Thielsch Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to contribute to the accomplishment of the Human Resources Department practices and objectives. The Human Resources Coordinator assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources functions and duties. The position is based out of Cranston, RI.

The position will:
Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
Process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications.
Develop a wide variety of written materials in both manual and electronic formats.
Answer questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
Maintains manual and electronic documents, files and records (e.g. EEOC, ADA, vacancy listings, etc.).
Prepares and files required affirmative action reports such as EEO-1, EO Surveys, and other documentation with government agencies.
Request information from law enforcement officials, previous employers, and other references to determine applicants’ employment acceptability.

Qualifications

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in operating computers, filing, and maintaining filing systems
Ability to exercise poise, tactfulness, diplomacy, and good interpersonal skills in order to handle sensitive and confidential situations .

Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree
Experience in Human Resources practices
