Provide a wide range of administrative and secretarial support to the Office of Faculty Services as follows:

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the standing committees of the Faculty Senate
  • Attend committee meetings, record minutes and distribute to committee members
  • Work on the preparation of materials for committee review that require action from the Division of Academic Affairs
  • Work with the office of Facilities Rental to reserve meeting rooms and special equipment for all committee meetings
  • Work with the Faculty Senate President and Secretary in the preparation of the agenda and materials for the monthly Faculty Senate general membership meetings
  • Maintain Faculty Senate committee files
  • Maintain committee attendance records
  • Assist in compiling individual committees year-end reports
  • Assist in the administration of the student evaluation process including: maintenance of files; collating materials; and office mailings
  • Provide assistance on various office projects, assignments and tasks as required.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years appropriate experience; three plus years' experience preferred. Experience providing office administration including knowledge of administrative policies and procedures in an institution of higher education preferred. Candidate must possess the skills to prioritize a wide variety of assignments and perform numerous tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven office environment. Demonstrated experience working independently, exercising professional judgment, and taking initiative is critical. Excellent written and oral communications skills are essential. Candidate must have experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, possess strong organizational skills and pay attention to detail. Candidates must possess the skills to compose correspondence and take meeting minutes and demonstrate ability to keyboard a minimum of 50 wpm. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software and WebPages required. Knowledge of Bi-Tech, Brio, and Banner preferred. Must possess and demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with a diverse constituency. Candidate must possess a high degree of diplomacy and perform responsibilities under minimum supervision with attention to confidentiality.

Salary schedule 91/0; $32.40 per hour
Monday- Friday, 10am- 3pm
Schedule subject to change based on needs of the Department.
